The 2016 Super High Roller Bowl was held in May 2016 at the ARIA Resort & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada. The buy-in was lowered to $300,000, and a total of 49 players took a seat and created a $15 million prize pool. The final table included Americans Dan Shak, Bryn Kenney, Matt Berkey, Phil Hellmuth, and Erik Seidel, but it would be two Germans that reached heads-up play. Rainer Kempe would come out on top of fellow countryman Fedor Holz to win the $5 million first-place prize, and his first Super High Roller Bowl title.
